"Unos cuatrocientos moriscos ricos". Un intent d'establir-se en terres de cristians (Menorca, 1613)
Abstract
Following the first decree of expulsion (1609), a group of Moriscos from Valencia who had settled in Algiers tried to return because they could not adapt to the new situation. It was in 1613 and they tried to settle down in Menorca, where they were badly received, in spite of being people of good position, and ended up emigrating again.
