On May 31st 1937, the city of Palma was bombed by an Air Force squad belonging to the Spanish Republic within the context of the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). That bombing caused several civilian casualties in a humble neighbourhood in down-town Palma, Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands. There is only one person alive who witnessed that event and who is still living in the same place of the events. She agreed to provide us with her oral testimony regarding her experiences during the attack and during the war.
