The studies on feminism and gender approaches in the field of art history at the international and national level are well known, some from the 1960s and others from the 1990s respectively. Despite the long progress made in gender studies, there is a lack of studies on these positions within the art circuit in Mallorca. In this article we can find some thematic lines followed by artists in the local context and which can be extrapolated beyond our borders, ranging from the denunciation of the structural violence suffered by women to the analysis of the construction of gender identity through images.
